It pays to be the oldest member of Facebook, 105-year-old Edythe Kirchmaier found out recently. She was gifted with a new car by an anonymous FB member who wanted her to be able to attend her charity commitments.
Ever since she gained social media fame when news spread that Facebook would not allow her to enter her birth year of 1908, Ms Kirchmaier used her name recall to promote a charity she has been involved with the past four decades, Direct Relief.
She once wrote in her newsfeed in Facebook that she has problems with her 1997 Dodge Caravan mini van, which prompted the unknown donor to gift her with the brand-new vehicle, a white Honda Civic.
The kind act was further boosted by her friends at Direct Relief by providing her a special parking space.
And in case if you are wondering if besides surfing the Internet whether the centenarian drives, yes, she does as she had been doing for the past 86 years with no record of accident, parking tickets and speeding fines.
