PBA will kick off this week's action with a feisty battle between Petron Blaze Boosters and Air 21 Express. The Blazers opened their Governors Cup campaign with 2-1 slate while the Air 21 Express recent suffered their second setback in three games at the hands of the Barako Bull on Sunday.

In the main event on Tuesday, Alaska Aces will try to bounce back from a 91-88 loss to Global Port Batang Pier as they take on Rain or Shine Elasto Painters. Alaska will be parading their formidable core of Sonny Thoss, J.V Casio and MVP frontrunner Calvin Abueva against the Elasto Painters led by Gilas standout Gabe Norwood and Jeff Chan. The Painters won two of their first three games this conference.

Sister teams Meralco Bolts and Talk n Text Texters are both coming off losses, making Friday's clash a must-watch for PBA Fans. The Bolts are reportedly in the verge of trading Mac Cardona for Air 21 point guard Mike Cortez, but Reynel Hugnatan and Cliff Hodge keep the Bolts a tough team to play with. The Texters are expected to have their Gilas players of Jason Castro, Jimmy Alapag, Larry Fonacier, and Ranidel De Ocampo back in fold.

Barako Bull Energy is having their best start in recent memory, thanks to their diminutive but crafty point guard Eman Monfort. After exploding for career-high 22 points against the Meralco Bolts, Monfort came through with clutch shots in a win against Air 21 last Sunday. Monfort is expected to get the attention of the Barangay Ginebra, who witnessed a high-scoring night from L.A Tenorio. Tenorio dropped 34 points and 7 assists in a 98-85 win over Meralco.
