The Samsung Galaxy S4 boasts of the power of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, but the South Korean technology giant created another version flaunting the Exynos Octa-core processor. The unlocked Exynos Octa-core Samsung Galaxy S4 with AT&T compatibility is now available in the U.S.
Online retailer Newegg.com offers the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 Octa-core version at $619.99 price with shipping included. The Web site started to take orders for the smartphone featuring the Exynos 5 Octa-core processor with a $30-off deal using the coupon code EMCYTZT3998.
The two Samsung Galaxy S4 versions only vary with the processor incorporated. This Octa-core version will have no support for LTE, but the smartphone should still function with the AT&T 3G network as well as with T-Mobile's network but with limited 2G data speeds only.
At U.S. carrier AT&T, the Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB "like new" smartphone price has been cut to $29 for the subscribers applying for a new contract. The offer is available to new and existing subscribers with colour choices of Black Mist and White Frost.
The AT&T revamped models go through inspection and certification making the device an equivalent to a brand new smartphone purchased. Additionally, the carrier offers a warranty of 90 days on the revamped models.
The unlocked Samsung Galaxy S4 Octa-core smartphone model has a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen display with 1920x1080p resolution, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage capacity, a 13MP rear-facing camera and a 2MP front-facing camera. The device has a microSD card slot for memory storage expansion, runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system and powered with the 2600mAh removable battery.
The Samsung Exynos 5410 processor plugs its eight cores where four of them are ARM Cortex-A15 while the other four are ARM Cortex-A7. Samsung recently launched an updated model called the Exynos 5420 that can offer more powerful graphics and much faster performance, but the Exynos 5410 is still considered one of the most powerful ARM-based chips currently available in the market even though it does not have 4G LTE support.
