The photo/video sharing social networking site Instagram experienced some down time this morning, causing a trending uproar among its users in its sister site, Twitter.
While majority of its users were not able to either upload photos or log in entirely, Instagram took to Twitter to address their concerns:
As the technical team did their best to fix these "issues," millions of food pics and camwhores/selfies suffered. Some of whom, even considered going back outside the real world. The responses to the tweet alone are hilarious. Take a look at what the Instagrammers had to say about the issue:
And while some thought it was some sort of conspiracy to destroy current top social media networks...
A lot were just worried about their food photos not being posted on time...
Maybe it’s the sneaky ads’ fault?
Forbes has recently reported that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg would feature ads (on top of the ones that were already there) “when the right time comes.” Maybe that time is now?
And while Instagram hasn’t posted anything about the real reason why its site crashed this morning – whether or not it’s a server problem or something else entirely – users seem to like the ads anyway.
The world has truly wrapped their lives around the wires, cables and their smart phones – and it’s apparent that all this fuss over a social media crashing means we can’t really live without posting something on social media.
