The wait is finally over for the eager customers who wish to get their hands on the Verizon HTC One smartphone. Verizon Wireless now joins T-Mobile, AT&T and Sprint in offering the Android smartphone to their subscribers at retail stores or online with a price of $199.99 on a two-year contract.
For those who do not want to be troubled with an agreement, Verizon offers the HTC One at $599.99 outright price. However, Verizon's offer on HTC One will be very limited since the Taiwanese handset is only available in silver colour choice and 32GB internal storage capacity.
If consumers want a different colour choice, they can head to Sprint who exclusively offers the red HTC One. The HTC One in blue colour choice is rumoured to arrive in Verizon but HTC or Verizon has not given any confirmation yet to the circulating reports.
The Verizon HTC One runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system, a definite gain against the HTC One Android 4.1 version with AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint. Then again, it should not be an issue after the announcement that all of the U.S. and Canadian HTC One models must be updated to the Android 4.3 update before September 2013 ends.
The HTC One smartphone has a 4.7-inch Super HD LCD3 capacitive touch screen with 1080p resolution, a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, Adreno 320 GPU, 2GB of RAM, 32GB internal storage capacity and the power of a 2300mAh Li-polymer battery.
The HTC One impresses with its beautiful and aluminum external design with the additional features and specs such as the 4MP UltraPixel rear-facing camera, the 2.1MP front-facing camera, front-facing BoomSound speakers and the connectivity support for NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and HTC Connect.
