Connect Your Xbox 360 to Xbox One/Xbox 720, More Turns Offs with Indie Games Policy & Console Demo on Jimmy Fallon

First and foremost, this still means that Xbox 360 games are not compatible with the Xbox One, as the latter does not have any backwards compatibility features, like the PS4.
However, reports on the possibility of attaching the Xbox 360 to the Xbox One have surfaced, as inferred from a Reddit Games interview with "Major Nelson," Xbox Live director of programming and, officially, Larry Hryb.
It seems that the Xbox One will have HDMI functionality, reports The Slanted, which will allow players to hook in Windows 9 PC and even the Xbox 360, so that the next-gen console can be transformed into an all-in integrated living room box.
This means that you can control the other devices through the Xbox One, and they will be nicely integrated with the next-gen system. NBC News adds that this may be Microsoft's way of integrating those who will not have the capability of 24-hour online check-ins.
The Slanted also adds that this unique feature may give Xbox One an edge in terms of added apps that can be produced by third party developers, to maximize the use of porting through HDMI.
Still, the benefits for most gamers who are still irked by many of the Xbox One's policies have not yet been appeased. Whether this new feature can draw them back to the Xbox One will be decided by future moves from Microsoft.
On indie support and the loss of more games
One of the major drawbacks that developers found with the Xbox One is the indie games policy that was established at the E3 2013.
""We're going to have an independent creator program. We're going to sponsor it," said Don Mattrick of Microsoft. "We're going to give people tools. We're going to give more information."
This is what Mattrick has reassured indie game developers when it comes to the indie policy. As to what has been officially announced, self-published games will not be allowed on the Xbox One platform, unless they are published by an official, third-party publisher.
And this may have led to yet another loss of a game, this time with Oddworld: New N Tasty! potentially skipping both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
"Why do we need a publisher when we self-finance our games, we build our own IP, we manage our own IP, and we've turned nearly two million units online as indie publishers sold-not free download? Why? What's wrong with us?" was a statement quoted by CinemaBlend from Lorne Lanning, head of Oddworld Inhabitants.
Jimmy Fallon vs. Phil Spencer: The Xbox One Demo
It's nice to see a self-confessed tech geek Jimmy Fallon take the stage with the Xbox One on his show, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. He is joined by Phil Spencer of Microsoft as they play Killer Instinct, where Fallon (as Sabrewulf) trashed Jago during a Killer Instinct demo play, while also maneuvering his way around the track with Forza 5.
For those who want a demo of the PS4, Fallon will also be featuring a demo play for Sony's console with launch title Knack.
During the show, CVG reported that it was also confirmed that the Xbox One will reach 21 markets for release this November, still priced at $499.
Check out Fallon with his demo play of the Xbox One.
