Google released a statement saying it was impressed with the SocialDeck team's talents and games.
The game maker founded in 2008 developed the word game "Shake & Spell" and "Pet Hero" that can be played over the iPhone, BlackBerry and Facebook.

Friends can play against each over their mobile devices. The SocialDeck games can also be played between a mobile device and a PC if the player is logged on in Facebook.

Features of the SocialDeck games include a page displaying friends currently playing games, the best player, game statistics and comments.
SocialDeck becomes the fifth acquisition of Google in August. Earlier, the search engine giant also acquired social games developer Slide, online payment platform developer Jambool, visual shopping engine Like.com, and Noteworthy News developer Angstro.
