One of the most common complaints in almost every device is the fast depleting battery life.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch Super AMOLED screen offering Full 1,920 x 1,080p HD resolutions with a 441p image density. Retaining the same height as the Samsung Galaxy S3, the new model is actually thinner than its predecessor at just 7.9mm thick in comparison to the 8.3mm measurements of the Galaxy S3.

Running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has a 13-megapixel camera in the rear coupled with a 2-megapixel snapper in front. The flagship packs a whole host of new camera features like Dual Camera and features Samsung Galaxy Smart Scroll, Smart Pause, Air View and Air Gesture functionality.

With a 2,600mAh battery, the Samsung Galaxy S4 has three internal storage size options, all bolstered by the addition of a microSD card slot supporting cards up to 32GB. The current quad-core version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 provides 4G LTE connectivity as well as IR LED, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

Below are the top five ways on how to prolong the battery life of your Samsung Galaxy S4.

Turn on Power Saving Mode - The easiest way to get better Galaxy S4 battery life is to turn on the built-in Power Saving mode. Samsung makes turning this on easy thanks to a toggle in the notification area. Tapping once will toggle power saving mode on and holding will open the menu for the Power saving options. Users can pick and choose which power saving features to enable and disable.

Turn Off the Extra Features - It is best to turn off all the extra Galaxy S4 features like Air View etc. These features are great for showing off what the Galaxy S4 can do or for productivity, but when you need more battery life it is not the ideal time to run two apps next to each-other or use eye-tracking technology.

Turn On Screen Auto Brightness - Turning on Auto Brightness, combined with the changes made in Power saving mode, will deliver better battery life. Pull down the notification menu and make sure Auto is tapped in the screen brightness menu. If you really need to control battery life, you can turn it off and dial the brightness down, but this can make using the Galaxy S4 outdoors very difficult.

Another tip is to use black or dark Wallpaper and to avoid live wallpapers. The Live wallpaper uses more power than a static image and the black backgrounds don't use as much power from the Samsung Galaxy S4′s Super AMOLED display.

Turn Off Bluetooth & WiFi & More - Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth when not in use to help conserve battery life. The savings here will be minimal, so if you use Bluetooth in your car or rely on WiFi for better location services you may want to skip this step.

Limit Widgets on Home Screen - All those widgets are nice for seeing constantly updated Facebook, Twitter and other updates, but they also contribute to faster battery drain. Go to Settings -> More-> Battery to see which apps are using the most battery life.
