Ryan Phillippe, 38, and rising “Twilight” star Ashley Greene, 26, are rumored to be Hollywood’s newest celebrity couple.

According to the Daily Mail, the two were spotted exiting the West Hollywood lounge Vignette together on Wednesday night and getting into Phillippe’s Lexus. Greene, who has been tapped as a possible contender for the role of Anastasia Steele in the upcoming film adaptation of “50 Shades of Grey,” seemed to be trying to avoid having her picture taken. She was photographed putting her hands in front of her face to shield her from paparazzi on the street, and hiding behind her purse inside of Phillippe’s car.

Earlier in the night, Phillippe dined at Craig’s restaurant on Melrose Ave, Just Jared reported. Although Greene hasn’t yet addressed whether or not she’s dating Phillippe, she’s spoken publicly about what she isn’t looking for in a relationship. Greene opened up about her love life in an interview with GQ, saying that she’s always cautious about getting involved with men who seem eager for the publicity.

“When I’m dating a guy and he says, ‘I don’t want press,’ and then says, ‘Let’s go to (trendy restaurant) Katana for dinner,’ I’m like, ‘Really? You don’t want to just walk down the street to some dive? You don’t want to get photographed but you want to go to a place where you know there’s paparazzi?"’”

Greene previously dated singer-songwriter Reeve Carney, but the pair reportedly ended their relationship five months ago.

In 2007 Phillippe ended his 8-year marriage to Reese Witherspoon, with whom he has two children; the two cited irreconcilable differences for their split. He has since been romantically linked to a number of younger women including Amanda Seyfried, 27, aspiring actress Paulina Slagter, 21, and Alexis Knapp, 23, with whom he has a child. Witherspoon is currently married to talent agent Jim Toth.
