But it seems that Gearbox Software is following suit, as it finally releases a whopping patch for Aliens: Colonial Marines, the first patch which will hopefully bring better gaming to more or less disappointed fans.
Mark of the Ninja, on the other hand, is getting a special edition DLC that puts Dosan into the limelight.
Tomb Raider gets patched again
It's another patch adventure for Tomb Raider as a new patch is released to address TressFX support problems.
For the last update, EuroGamer reports that Crystal Dynamics has recently released an un-patched version on Steam. However, multiplayer gaming will only be possible if your co-op co-players all share the same version as you.
The patch includes fixes in UI, voice-chat quality, multiplayer connectivity, messages when unconnected to Square-Enix's servers, and crashes or multi- and single-player modes. A new voice-chat volume option and Push-to-Talk feature has also been added.
Patch updates have been an ongoing project for Crystal Dyamics. According to Joystiq, they are basing the improvements on player feedback, so expect more patches to come in the next few weeks.
Aliens: Colonial Marines Patch finally released
Those who have been waiting for patch to fix the flamethrower problem of Aliens: Colonial Marines don't have to wait any longer. The newest patch has finally been released and is now available for the PC.
According to CinemaBlend, players are looking at a 3.5GB worth of compressed patch, admittedly big, but the list of fixes that it will bring the game is pretty long itself.
One of the bigger problems addressed by the patch includes the AI, now fixed to be more responsive and aggressive. Texture resolution and visuals have also been improved, reports The Escapist.
Among those that got fixed are the UI, incorrect localized text, better player input for aiming, crashes to launch and motion tracker, backing out of maps, and mouse smoothing.
Mark of the Ninja gets a Special Edition DLC
Players of the hit stealth game from developer Klei Entertainment have something to look forward to this summer. Mark of the Ninja Special Edition DLC will be released--and it's packed with several add-ons and content.
To start off, there's a new level that features a flashback of the life of tattoo artist Dosan, and is not just a stage-setter for the level but also a sort of prequel for the events of Mark of the Ninja.
The DLC will also introduce the non-lethal takedown to serve as a new play style, as well as introduce two new items for stealth and direct attacks, reports Polygon.
Additional content for fans has also been included, with a commentary to be available in English, Japanese, Spanish, German, French, and Italian. You'll get some behind the scenes action, as well as history lessons related to the game.
Watch out for the Special Edition DLC to be released for Xbox Live Arcade and Windows PC. And check out the trailer below.
