Paris Saint-Germain striker and Liverpool target Kevin Gameiro has revealed he would consider leaving the club and moving abroad in the summer, if the Ligue 1 outfit continue to bench him.
The 25-year-old has struggled to break into the Parisians' starting line-up this season, following the summer arrivals of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ezequiel Lavezzi, who now regularly occupy the two forward places in the club's attack.
Liverpool, who tried to sign Gameiro on loan in January, have now been heavily linked with a summer move for the France international, while Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund are also understood to be keeping tabs on the PSG frontman. The player has now conceded that he could leave at the end of the season, if he fails to earn regular first team action.
"I want to play football every time, I am no different to any player. It is difficult to sit on the bench but all big clubs in Europe have the same problems, you can't play every game but being involved is good," Gameiro said.
"I always wanted to play abroad. At the end of the season, hopefully after we win the title, we can decide about my future," he added.
Gameiro joined PSG from Lorient in 2011 for an initial fee of €11m, after scoring 22 goals in 36 appearances the season before. Newcastle United and Valencia have also been linked with the striker.
Ibrahimovic: People are Very Demanding in Paris
Meanwhile, Ibrahimovic has hit out at his critics and insisted winning each and every game is not possible.
The Swede scored twice in the second half to lead PSG to a 2-1 comeback win at home too bottom club Nancy at the weekend, but his team's performance received a distinctly frosty reception from the Parisian crowd.
"People are very demanding in Paris. It is a bit bizarre when you think of what things were like before. Because, before, there was nothing. Try and play these games yourselves and then you will understand. I have played for lots of clubs and won titles everywhere but it is never easy to win games like these," Ibrahimovic said.
