Canberra Means 'Woman's Cleavage'
The city's name was derived from its original Aboriginal name, Canberra, according to BBC News, meant "woman's cleavage" because the city has been cradled between two mountains.
There were other names considered for the city, these included Olympus, Shakespeare, Paradise, Sydmeladperho and Kangaremu.
Canberra's AMA Considers Cannabis
The city situated at the heart of the state of Victoria is actually considering revising its laws on the manufacture and distribution of the drug, cannabis, believed to have aided in the medical profession.
The Canberratimes.com.au reports that the legal use of cannabis and the drug ecstasy for 16 years and over could lessen the illegal trade.
Victorian AMA (Australia Medical Association) president , Stephen Parnis told Stephanie Hall of Canberra Times that personal prejudice should be set aside and keeping an open mind will broaden the country's perspective and toughen the fight on drug addiction.
No final laws had been passed legalising the drugs in Canberra.
