BC Oakridge Apple Store Robbed, Customers Attacked With Bear Spray; Three Suspects On The Run

Police are looking for three suspects after they broke into and robbed a busy Apple store after discharging bear spray in Vancouver Monday night.

The store was crowded with about 40 customers at the Oakridge Mall outlet of Apple, when three men burst into the store at around 7 p.m., discharged the bear spray into the air and allegedly made off with a number of electronics and ran off the store.

Five people were treated by paramedics for exposure to the bear spray.

Officers and police dogs who arrived moments later located some of the stolen items shortly, but the suspects managed to flee the scene quickly, Vancouver Police Department spokesman Const. Brian montague said in a press release.

Police have made an appeal to the public with any information or lead to contact the Vancouver police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
