Verizon's update for Galaxy Nexus Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean rolls out for beta testers and its official release will be coming very soon. As the beta testing is going, xda developers have made several AOSP ROM for owners of the device to obtain Android 4.2.2 sooner.

One of the fit ROMs for the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is the MMuzzyROM for Toro with build JDQ39. According to the original thread, the ROM is closely related to builds Toroplus, Mako, Manta, Maguro, and Grouper.

There are three versions of MMuzzy ROMs depending on what the user wants to be flashed.

1.      French Vanilla: a slightly modded version than Vanilla

2.      Vanilla: no MODs, pure AOSP version with fixes included

3.      Chocolate Milk: a JOP40D version which won't be updated anymore

Prerequisites:

1.      Make a backup of all personal information and data files of the device.

2.      Select and download a ROM from the above list.

3.      Download the Google Apps as well.

Warning: The flash will erase everything inside the device and it is at your own risk to perform the ROM installation. The warranty is definitely void, if there is any.

Clean Flashing Instructions

1.      Wipe factory data/reset

2.      Wipe cache

3.      Go to "mounts and storage"

4.      Format "/system"

5.      Format "/data"

6.      Format "/cache"

7.      Wipe Dalvik cache

8.      Flash ROM

9.      Flash Google Apps
