Real Madrid and Manchester United will face off once more at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

The round-of-16 duel could not be better placed with Manchester United in theory having the upper hand of an away goal, but Madrid likely to relish being away from home with their incredible counter-attacking threat.

For two clubs of their immense statue, it is hard to say that there is more pressure on one team to win than the other, but defeat would perhaps be harder to swallow for Madrid. Despite their win over Barcelona on Saturday, Los Blancos remain 13 points behind in the Liga title race, while it is widely expected that manager Jose Mourinho will depart at the end of the season regardless of what happens at Old Trafford. The second leg, though, will perhaps go some way to defining his legacy in Madrid.

In contrast, United are 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League, although they will sorely want to return to the final stages of the Champions League after their group-stage exit last year.

Both sides come into the match in fine form, fueling the expectation that the match will rival the entertainment of their last two meetings at Old Trafford when Madrid won 3-2 in 2000 and United were 4-3 victors on the night in 2003, but lost out over the two legs.
