BlackBerry announced its first update for its latest BlackBerry 10 operating system. The update comes with five improvements including third-party apps performance, camera and battery life.
The OS update is available Over The Air (OTA), BlackBerry suggest to check the update manually form device Settings and follow the on screen steps to install.
The update is about 150 MB so the company recommends to update with Wi-Fi connection.

3rd Party App Performance
Third party application performance has been improved, which helps developers to build faster and smoother and makes smartphone users to experience the better performance. The company also stated that new improvised app such as WhatsApp Messenger will be launching soon.
Phone, Calendar, and Contacts
This update brings improvements and features for Gmail calendar on BB10 smartphone and also improvements in the BlackBerry Hub for call logs which also displays how conversations are handled.
Camera
The Camera got major update with improved performance in low-light situations.
Browser and Media
BlackBerry made number of improvements to the OS in the way the browser handles video playback to provide a fantastic experience.
Battery Life
The software team has included a number of battery life optimizations with over 60 battery saving improvements since its launch. These combined improvements are designed so that users can see improvements in battery life and heavy users especially should see a longer average usage per charge cycle.
