The U.S. singer has been diagnosed with breast cancer having successfully battled the disease in 2003.

US singer Anastacia has been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time.

The I'm Outta Love hitmaker, who successfully battled the disease a decade ago, has been forced to cancel her forthcoming European tour after receiving the news.

She had been scheduled to play 13 dates across Europe in April to promote her latest album It's A Man's World.  All tickets for the tour, due to start on 6 April in London, will be refunded.

"I feel so awful to be letting down all my amazing fans who were looking forward to the It's A Man's World tour," she said in a statement posted on her Facebook page.

"It just breaks my heart to disappoint them."

The 44-year-old singer was treated with surgery and radiotherapy when she was first diagnosed with the disease in 2003, before making a full recovery.

Anastacia says she will continue writing and recording a new album whilst receiving treatment and hopes to reschedule her tour once she has received a clean bill of health.

"Now more then ever, I am determined to live by my motto "Don't ever let cancer get the "Best of You!" she said.

"A born survivor, Anastacia has one goal and that is to make a full recovery with the support of her family, friends and everyone around her.'

Anastacia found fame in the 90's with hits including Not That Kind, Made for Lovin' You and Cowboys & Kisses.

Her 2000 dance favourite I'm Outta Love topped the charts across the globe.
