Ben Affleck Shaves Beard After Big Win? But Why Grow it?
Actor Ben Affleck and now director Ben has finally shaved what TMZ referred to as his "good luck charm" - - his beard. Don't be surprised if you will see Ben walking with wife of seven years, Jennifer Garner and their four kids, looking hot and clean-shaven.
Wondering who did it? According to an exclusive report by the Us Magazine, the Argo director shaved off his beard himself. But not without much "coercion" of his equally sexy wife, Jennifer.
The celebrity couple was at a restaurant in West Hollywood when the ceremonial shave took place.
An insider who talked to Us Magazine revealed that Jennifer brought a clipper herself. Why?
"The whole family was tired of the beard!" the source was quoted as saying by Us. "Jen actually brought the clippers to the party."
Ben apparently grew his beard for the award season. This began when the list of nominees was released in December last year. The actor was famously snubbed by Oscars as he was not nominated for the prestigious Best Director category.
And as the new year sets in, Ben's whiskers grew into something more than mustache and his prominent scruff was all over Golden Globes, the Screen Actors Guild and even the BAFTAs.
TMZ said, "Ben had facial hair when he re-emerged as a major Hollywood player."
For E!Online, Ben grew his scruff for a good reason.
"He did it to mark the end of a chapter," said one E! Online source. "It had that ceremonial quality to it."
Jennifer Embraced it. But to some extent. Before they left the Craig's Restaurant at West Hollywood, the Pearl Harbor star was clean-shaven.
Being over the moon for their Big Win, the Argo director celebrated with the whole production crew. Joining them downing countless shots of tequilas is another hot A-list actor, George Clooney who came in with his girlfriend, Stacy Keibler. Clooney produced the Oscar-winning film.

Ben Affleck
An American actor and director, Ben Affleck has starred in films like “Armageddon”, “The Sum of All Fear” and “State of Play”. However, he has had more than his share of failures, including “Pearl Harbor” and is considered King Midas’ alter-ego… everything he touches seems prone to errors.
