What was going on with Catherine Zeta-Jones?

Michael Douglas’ gorgeous wife glided down the red carpet on Sunday for the 2013 Oscars wearing a Zuhair Murad golden dress.

The actress looked flawless, but some wondered whether she had taken it to the extreme to look perfect with caked on make-up and a fake tan.  

The real shocker came when host Seth MacFarlan stepped off the stage and when it rose again the spotlights shined on Zeta-Jones.

Viewers were transported back to her “Chicago” days with the actress performing “Cell Block Tango.”

She wore a short raven wig and “Chicago” themed outfit, but by the time she had finished Twitter users had deemed the actress to be an unworthy performer. They all felt she lip synced and her performance was less-than-stellar when compared to the “Les Miz” cast and Jennifer Hudson.

Some commented that the rendition didn’t go too smooth writing, “I think Catherine Zeta Jones could have used a few more yoga classes before that performance it was awkwardly tight #truth.”

Another person was disgusted with the 43-year-old Welsh actress:

Is this Catherine Zeta-Jones' petty attempt to perform with Les Miz? Because that's as close as she's gonna get. #tacky #ew #pathetic

@ChelseaLupkin shared, “I feel very very bad for Catherine Zeta-Jones... we all know she didn't sing like everyone else. Come on now.”

But not everyone dissed CZJ for her performance. She had plenty of fans support her Oscar routine.

@GiselleUgarte was impressed with Zeta Jones and her style:

@Silva1105 was excited that the “Side Effects” actress showed up on the stage in general:

“I still can't believe Catherine Zeta Jones performed All That Jazz, omg!!!!”
