Huawei officially unveiled the latest Android quad-core device called the Ascend P2 during an overnight press conference at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The Chinese smart phone manufacturer proudly describes the Huawei Ascend P2 as the "fastest smart phone in the world."
"Today we will announce the successor to the Huawei Ascend P1, the Huawei Ascend P2. This is the world's fastest smart phone. This is the first smart phone in the world to support LTE CAT4, making it the fastest to access the internet," Huawei CEO Richard Yu stated.
The Ascend P2 is marketed as the fastest smart phone because it has the ability to support faster downloading speeds compared to the other rival smart phones like Samsung Galaxy S3 and Google Nexus 4.
Huawei Ascend P2 is designed with an 8.4mm thickness, 4.7-inch multi-touch screen display, 720p HD resolution and 351ppi image density in a protective Corning Gorilla Glass 2 coating. The latest Huawei smart phone model features the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system with the Huawie Emotion 1.6 UI, 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB memory storage capacity and a 2420mAh battery.
Consumers can choose between the black and white versions of the Huawei Ascend P2. The latest smart phone has a 13MP rear-camera with HDR, face recognition, 1080p full HD video recording and zooming capabilities.
Aside from the 4G LTE, the other superior connectivity options of the Huawei Ascend P2 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC. The Ascend P2 offers as well the consumers a simple yet smooth smart phone experience to get the most out of the Android applications available at the Google Play Store.
