Really the only thing missing from Ronda Rousey’s resume was the Ultimate Fighting Championship.

The two-time Olympian defends her women’s bantamweight championship belt against challenger Liz Carmouche Saturday night in UFC 157 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

Rousey and Carmouche both make their UFC debuts, though the former comes in with much more hype to live up to. The 26-year-old Venice, Califorinia product appeared in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics in judo, and captured the Strikeforce championship in March of last year with her devastating arm bar submission of American Miesha Tate.

This is the second title defense for Rousey after she took out Canadian Sarah Kaufman back in August.

Now undefeated at 6-0, and winning every professional fight via first round submission, Rousey was promoted to UFC and takes on a formidable and crafy opponent in Carmouche.

A military brat, Carmouche reportedly grew up in Japan, and is trained in Kenpo and Jiu-Jitsu. The 29-year-old’s last fight resulted in a submission by a rear-naked choke hold last July against Kaitlin Young, and earned Carmouche the No. 6 ranking in the 135-point division, and a shot at Rousey’s title.

Rousey’s explosive strikes should be an interesting matchup versus Carmouche’s ground and pound style. Rousey’s average fight clocks in at 1:36, compared to Carmouche’s 12:15 standard.
