Global smartphone leader Samsung launched its low-cost Rex series smartphones specially focused on emerging markets like India and other south eastern countries a few days ago but it will face strong competition from Nokia, which has a stronghold in the region.

Finnish handset maker Nokia too has released Asha smartphone series keeping in mind the prevailing trends in India, where price conscious middle class population has an attraction towards low-cost smartphones which pack with decent number of standard specs.

Now, the big question is whether Samsung's new Rex series smartphone will be able to compete with Nokia's flagship affordable Asha handset series in the market.
