Veteran Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan arrived at Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh, a state located in central-northern India, to begin shooting for his next film. His wife Jaya Bachchan, son Abhishek, daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan and grand-daughter Aaradhya accompanied him.

"Here now for 'Satyagrah' for Prakash Jha with a host of very important talent - Ajay Devgn, Kareena, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee to name a few. A strong powerful subject, intense and gripping!" Amitabh wrote on his official blog.

Aishwarya looked gorgeous in a pink-coloured ethnic Indian dress and cradled her daughter while husband Abhishek Bachchan shielded them from photographers (Click here to see pictures). The Bachchan family also visited the residence of Jaya Bachchan's mother (Indira Bhaduri) in nearby Shyamla Hills.

"The 'jamai' [son-in-law] has traditionally enjoyed respect and care and welcome from the city of the wife, and I have no idea why it does so, but thank the Lord that they do ... its a wonderful feeling to get the kind of welcome each time I visit Bhopal and Kolkata !" Amitabh said, adding, "I brought along Abhishek and Aishwarya and little Aaradhya too with me in the plane, so they could meet their Nani, Jaya's mother, who lives here, as also Jaya's youngest sister and her family .. The three A's went back by the evening .."

Aaradhya - who was born on 16 November, 2011, in Mumbai, to Indian cinema's most famous couple - has been the centre of attention since her birth. Her family kept her name secret for as long as they could, to protect her from the Indian media. Aaradhya's photographs were finally released after she and her mother were spotted at an Indian airport, while returning from the 65th Cannes Film Festival in May.
