Arsenal defender Andre Santos says he's looking forward to his loan spell with Brazilian side Gremio, with the 29 year old hoping to get a fresh start after a disappointing spell in north London.

Santos joined the Gunners in the 2011 summer, as part of a group of deadline day signings by Arsene Wenger who have so far produced mixed results.
While Wenger has continually insisted that he has faith in Santos, who has had injury setbacks as well as disappointing form in his time at Arsenal, with a loan spell to his home country all but sealed he is looking forward to turning his fortunes around.
"I have the best expectations," Santos told Lancenet. "[Gremio] are one of the biggest clubs in the country.
"I've come to Gremio to be a champion. I am very excited about this project. I have dreamed of working with Vanderlei Luxemburgo. He is a top manager in our football."

Santos says he is raring to go for his loan club, though he wants to get back to match fitness first.
"If there was a game today, I would like to play," he explained. "But I need to be match fit as I played a game one day, then not the next one. I'll need five or six games to be fitter. I'm anxious to know the squad."
Meanwhile, Arsenal confirmed that Vasco da Gama youngster Indio will join the club for a weeks' trial, and the 16 year old says he wants to show he has the potential to feature for a European side when he turns 18 and can sign a professional contract.
"I'm anxious for this new stage in my life," he told Globo Esporte. "I'll spend a week at Arsenal. It will be cool, I hope I enjoy it.
"Of course I have the dream of playing for a European club, but everything has its right time. It will be a good experience. I want to learn."
Indio also revealed his admiration for Theo Walcott, saying: "I like him a lot. His style of play is very fast, which pleases me."
