Dressed as Mad Hatter with tall boots, shorts, tails and a tall white hat, Taylor Swift set the stage on fire with her performance of her hit song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

Grammy awards were dominated by males this year. Mumford and Sons outshined most other performers and won the most prestigious award, album of the year, for its "Babel."

More than 1.7 million copies of the album were sold in the U.S. after its release last September. The foursome band also won the Grammy for the best long form music video.

Another competitor newcomer, Fun., which initially had six nominations ended up winning two awards. They won Best New Artist and Song of the Year. Other bands such as Kanye West, Mumford & Sons, The Black keys' Dan Auerback, Ja-Z, and Frank Ocean all had six nominations each.

Other Grammy awards that were grabbed this year include best pop vocal album won by Kelly Clarkson, for "Stronger"; best dance/electronica album won by Skrillex for "Bangarang"; best traditional pop vocal album won by Paul McCartney for "Kisses On The Bottom" and best rock performance won by The Black keys for "lonely Boy."
