It's that time of the year when you see your favourite singers hold their prestigious awards lovingly. The Grammy Awards 2013 ceremony is drawing near and so we bring you live coverage information of the biggest music awards event.

The 55th annual Grammy Awards will kick off at Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday night. It will be telecast live in India on VH1 channel at 06:30 a.m. IST Monday, February 11, 2013 (08:00 p.m. EST, Sunday, Feb 10). However, celebrities attending the event will start walking the red carpet at around 05:30 a.m.

Some of the biggest names in today's music industry will perform at the biggest music award function. Singers like Elton John, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Justin Timberlake, Carrie Underwood, Travis Barker, Miranda Lambert, Kelly Clarkson, Sting, Alicia Keys, Maroon 5, Bruno Mars and several others will perform at the event.

Sir Elton John, Mumford & Sons, Mavis Staples, Zac Brown, T Bone and Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard will pay tribute to the late Levon Helm of the Band at the Grammy Awards 2013. The tribute to Dave Brubeck will be done by Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea and Kenny Garrett.

Two-time Grammy award winner and actor LL Cool J will host the award function.

Interestingly, polls conducted by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences - the sponsor of the Grammys - has picked Pink as the winner in the Best Pop Vocal Album category, convincingly beating other contenders Maroon 5, Fun., Florence & The Machine and Kelly Clarkson.

Grammy Awards 2013 is sort of a surprise as male artistes dominate the nomination. Singers like Kanye West, Frank Ocean, Fun, Jay-Z, Mumford & Sons, and The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach got six nominations apiece.
