‘ABCD: Any Body Can Dance’ Earns ₹5 Crore at Domestic Box Office

The film directed by choreographer and director Remo D'Souza has no big star cast except Prabhu Deva but opened to greater occupancy than Akshay Kumar's "Special 26" which released on the same day.
It collected ₹5.5 crore on the opening day at the domestic box office, which is very good figure for non-star cast film.
The film was released across 400 3D screens and 350 2D screens in India, taking the total screen count to 750. The morning and afternoon shows were pretty good but the collections came down in the evening. Looking at the first day collection, the film is expected to witness a good jump on weekend.
"ABCD" also opened to good response at overseas box office. It minted ₹3.94 lakhs from Australia, ₹1.20 lakhs from New Zealand and ₹64.31 lakhs from UAE. The overall first day overseas total was ₹69.45 lakhs

The film features Prabhu Deva and Ganesh Acharya in the main roles. It also features Dance India Dance (DID) participants. The Tamil version of the film is titled as "Aadalam Boys Chinnatha Dance".
