A man who throws animal semen at schoolgirls has apparently struck again, with two more teenagers finding a white sticky substance on their clothes in separate incidents.
Police have linked the two latest attacks, which took place in Greater Manchester, to four similar incidents which took place between November 2009 and January 2010.
Both of the latest attacks took place in Unsworth, Bury, on 11 January and 5 February. Both victims said the attacker was a white man, aged between 20 and 40 years old and described as being around 5ft 10.
In each of the four attacks three years ago, the victim provided a similar description of their attacker. All four victims were teenage girls, and all four were splashed with a white substance on their skirt or tights.
The four attacks took place in Unsworth, Whitefield, Bury and Prestwich and subsequent analysis of the substance revealed it to be animal semen in each instance.
Speaking about the latest attacks, detective chief inspector Sara Wallwork said: "Specially trained officers have been speaking to and supporting the two victims as part of the investigation and inquiries are ongoing.
"Due to the similar nature of these incidents, we are considering the possibility that they are linked although we are keeping an open mind.
"We are well aware that these incidents are very similar to a serious of incidents in Bury three years ago. Understandably there will be concerns due to the similarity.
"We are taking these incidents very seriously and together with the local authority we are engaging with local schools.
"We are reviewing the original investigation and keeping an open mind as to the possibility that the same man may be responsible. I ask anyone with information that may help this investigation to please call us."
