Another British Collaboration: Swift to Work with UK Band Lawson [PHOTOS]
Multi-Grammy award winner, Taylor Swift has got her eye on another British group. However, it is not for dating purposes. Contrary to what "swift haters" may believe, Swift is actually focusing on making real music and this time she's using this connection with the British group to work on another collaboration. Who would this British group band be?
Lawson is a UK based band who is known for the song, "When She Was Mine." The group is composed of four members named Andy Brown, Ryan Fletcher, Joel Peat and Adam Pitts. Their first album, "Chapman Square" was released back in October 22, 2012. Two of their songs, "When She Was Mine" and "Taking Over Me" managed to reach the top 5.
With their success still continuing, it's not surprising the boys of Lawson would get noticed by none other than country crooner, Taylor Swift. The boys met Swift back in December during the Capital FMs Jingle Ball.
In recent interview, Swift opened up to liking the song, "Standing in the Dark" by the boys. Of course, Lawson took this time to respond to Swift's comment.
"It was in London at the O2 [Arena], which is like one of the most iconic venues. So we were just buzzing, having come off stage there. And she came up and just said that she was a big fan of our music and that she had seen all of our videos on YouTube," said guitarist, Joel Peat, adding, "It's awesome! We're like massive fans of her music."
"She really liked our song 'Standing in the Dark," added Andy Brown while bassist, Ryan Fletcher went on to say, "It's great having Taylor behind us, isn't it?"
Clearly, Swift managed to rub off on the boys and a possible collaboration could be in the works.
"We'd love to, absolutely love to if she's interested," said Brown, adding, "Maybe do some writing together. We love her music though, that's the main thing."
British boys seem to be Swift's forte when it comes to musical collaborations. If fans may recall, Swift had hit the studio with British songwriter and singer, Ed Sheeran. Hopefully, a collaboration with Lawson is the only thing on Swift's mind and nothing else.
