A bizarre new video from North Korea purports to show an American city – presumably New York – in flames after a nuclear missile attack

Agence France Presse reported that the video was uploaded by Uriminzokkiri, North Korea’s official website which issues state-controlled news and propaganda.

Video grab from KCNA shows Unha-3 rocket launching at North Korea's West Sea Satellite Launch Site, in Cholsan county.

Depicted as a dream, the video shows a young male fantasizing that he is on a space shuttle which orbits the globe (while the 1980s song “We are the world” plays in the background).

Subsequently, the viewer sees a cityscape, resembling Manhattan, which has been destroyed -- apparently by an attack from above.

"Somewhere in the United States, black clouds of smoke are billowing," the caption on the screen says.

"It seems that the nest of wickedness is ablaze with the fire started by itself.”

At the end, the young man declares that is dream will "surely come true".

Back in the real world, Pyongyang is expected to conduct another nuclear test despite warnings from the west and sanctions by United Nations.
