Justin Timberlake has taken another major step in his return to music. On Sunday, the former N-Sync member performed at Mark Cuban’s DirecTV Super Bowl Party in New Orleans, where he collaborated with none other than Jay-Z. The two joined forces for the track “Suit & Tie,” which was released late last month.

Rolling Stone reports that the Grammy-winner opened the show with his 2002 hit “Like I Love You” and unveiled the tracks "Pusher Love Girl" and "That Girl,” off his forthcoming album “The 20/20 Experience.” He also performed well-known hits like “Cry Me a River” and “My Love.”
According to the Hollywood Reporter, he wore a chic black suit and was backed by a 13-piece band.
Huffington Post notes that Timberlake was paid $3 million to perform the hour-long set and has donated the money to the Shiners Hospital for Children. According to the Associated Press, proceeds for the show were already set to go to the organization.
The mini concert comes barely a month after the 32-year-old announced his return to music last month.
The “Sexy Back” singer stepped away from the music scene five years ago and in that time has focused his attention to film. He has appeared in films like the Oscar-nominated drama “The Social Network” and the rom-com “Friends with Benefits.”
The star also became an entrepreneur during his time away from the stage. In June 2011, he took a stake in the $35 million purchase of MySpace from News Corp.
In October, Timberlake married his longtime girlfriend Jessica Biel in a lavish ceremony in Fasano, Italy.
Timberlake gave some insights into his inspiration for the album via an open letter to fans posted on his website.
"The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn't expect anything out of it," he said. "I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I've had in my career... Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process."
In a recent interview with GQ, Beyoncé revealed that she is set to make an appearance on “The 20/20 Experience.”
Timberlake’s last studio album “FutureSex/LoveSounds” was released in 2006.
The singer is scheduled to perform at the 55th Annual Grammy Awards on February 10.
“The 20/20 Experience” is set to be released on March 19.
