HP Finally Unwraps Google OS-Based 'Pavilion 14 Chromebook PC'

World's leading PC maker HP (Hewlett-Packard) on Monday unveiled the company's first Google OS-based 14-inch Chromebook PC in the US.

With the launch of Pavilion 14 Chromebook PC, HP, a long-time partner of Microsoft's Windows OS has now officially joined the ranks of Samsung, Acer and Lenovo to release a rival Chrome OS-based laptops.

HP's Chromebook PC sports a 14-inch HD BrightView LED-backlit display with 1366x768p resolution. It also features a HP TrueVision HD Webcam with an integrated microphone.

"Google's Chrome OS is showing great appeal to a growing customer base," said Kevin Frost, vice president and general manager, Consumer PCs, Printing and Personal Systems, HP.

He further said, "With HP's Chromebook, customers can get the best of the Google experience on a full-sized laptop-all backed up by our service and brand."

The HP Chromebook is initially released in US for 329.99 USD, but there is still no news of when the new Chromebook PC would arrive in European and Asian markets.
