Oprah Winfrey is nursing a back injury after receiving a birthday gift from Tyler Perry.

The media mogul celebrated her 59th birthday Tuesday and received several beautiful flower arrangements from the filmmaker.

Oprah apparently hurt her back while trying to arrange them all; she took to Twitter and detailed what happened.

“In bed with an ice pack most of today. Moved a bushel of roses sent by @tylerperry and sprained a back muscle," she tweeted to her 16 millon followers.

Luckily, Oprah had already planned a lazy day for her birthday. Earlier, she tweeted out a photo of herself and long-time partner Stedman Graham, captioned, “Thanks everyone for your birthday wishes. Enjoying lunch with Stedman. No plans to leave p.j.'s all day.”

As it was clearly not his intention to hurt his famous friend, Perry publicly apologized on his Facebook page Wednesday.

“I like to send really large flower arrangements to people for whatever occasion. Well, I sent one to Oprah yesterday for her birthday. She strained her back picking it up. No joke! Feel better Oprah. Happy birthday. Sorry. :-( Next year I'm sending her one rose. :-),” he wrote.
