According to a jokey campaign launched by a Bucharest-based online newspaper to bring Britons to Romania, local women look much like the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton and her sister Pippa.
"Half of our women look like Kate. The other half like her sister," says an advertising banner by Bucharest-based Gandul.info news website.
"We might not like Britain, but you will love Romania," the campaign slogan reads. "Why don't you come over?"
Other banners praise other qualities of life in Romania such as cheap draft beer, good food and fewer taxes.
Gandul's campaign is a reply to proposals by Whitehall to scare off potential Eastern European immigrants by advertising downsides of living in Albion.
On December 31, 2013, restrictions on the number of Romanians and Bulgarians allowed into the UK will be lifted and British authorities have warned that a major influx of immigrants will follow.
