500px, a photography app from a Toronto-based startup 500px Inc, is once again available to download on Apple's App Store. On Jan. 22, the app was pulled out from the store owing to a claimed breach of rules pertaining to pornographic images and material.

"We're happy to announce that our app is back in the Apple App Store," 500px Inc. tweeted around noon Tuesday.

The app allows users to share and showcase their images. In fact, prior to its removal from the app store it was downloaded almost a million times.

On Tuesday, the app returned to the App Store with a new version that aims to address some of the Cupertino giant's concern with the software. The updated version features rating for "Mature 17+" and it also comes with a "Report this photo" button that helps filter out inappropriate content.

Oleg Gutsol, Co-Founder, 500px said that his team has worked closely with Apple over the last week to address their concerns, TechCrunch has reported.  

The app will greet with a pop-up message notifying the users about the new rating.

There's one more change under the hood: Much like Google's recent image search changes, it's more difficult to get adult images to appear in 500px, according to Evgeny Tchebotarev co-founder of 500px, speaking to The Verge.

Here's a brief recap of the turn of events that led to its removal from App Store. The app was removed from the store for featuring pornographic images and material, which was in clear violation of Apple's guidelines. Apple also received customer complaints about possible child pornography. The company asked the developer to put safeguards in place to prevent upload of pornographic images and material in their app.
