she accepted her award for Outstanding Actress at the 2013 Screen Actors Guild Awards
Sunday, it appeared Jennifer Lawrence had suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
The “Silver Linings Playbook” beauty was taking the treacherous walk from her seat onto the stage when it seemed her Christian Dior dress had unraveled.
But J.Law’s dress didn’t rip, in fact it was part of the design, said a spokesperson from Christian Dior.
The brunette bombshell might say that she’s “considered a fat actress,” but no dress could have that clean a tear.
The navy gown was tiered, and in a couture fashion show Monday it was revealed that the dress had clear distinctions that were connected by sheer lining, E! News said.
When the award-winning actress, a contender to win the Oscar for Best Actress, approached the stage to get her award, the sheer lining was exposed when she pulled up the top part of her dress and possibly got the train of her gown stuck on her heel.
Sound like excelsior to anyone?
In a statement to the Daily Mail, a Christian Dior spokesperson said there wasn’t a wardrobe malfunction:
"The dress is made of different levels of tulle and satin, and that is what viewers saw when Jennifer lifted her dress slightly. It was not ripped and there was no malfunction -- it was the design of the gown."
Not realizing her upper thighs had been exposed to millions of people right before accepting her award, Lawrence went on to thank MTV in her speech:
"I want to thank MTV. I'll explain that," she said. "I earned my SAG card when I was 14 — I did an MTV promo for 'My Super Sweet 16,' and I remember getting it in the mail and it being the best day of my life because it made me an official actor and put me in a category with you."
The Hollywood starlet has not publicly commented on the alleged wardrobe malfunction at the SAG awards.
“Silver Linings Playbook” is still playing in theaters throughout the nation.
