Stacey Dash, who most recently starred in the VH1 comedy “Single Ladies,” has just released a promo for her own scripted comedy series, titled, “Stacey Dash is Normal.”
Lately, Dash has received quite a bit of attention, not for her acting, but rather for her political views. She was on the receiving end of backlash for publicly supporting Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Twitter.

Wearing a red bathing suit and red lipstick, the actress stood in front of the American flag with a prop that read: "Dash America" and had a large "R" on it.
“Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future,” the photo caption read.
Twitter users were not impressed.
User @Mylee_Evelyn wrote “I am no longer a Stacey Dash fan lol.”
@Big_Pak wrote, “All beauty, no brains.”
Dash defended her actions to talk show host Piers Morgan. "I believe him [Romney]. I watched him, the Governor and his wife, on 'Meet The Press,'" she explained. "They spoke to me, they seemed authentic and genuine."
Dash added, "I chose him not by the color of his skin but the content of his character,” which is essentially the same line Martin Luther King Jr., once delivered when he spoke about race relations in America.
In the one-minute promo for “Stacey Dash is Normal,” the actress plays an over-the-top version of herself. The show was created by Dash and Abe Schwartz. Check out the promo below:
