Melbourne's Suburb Toorak has Australia’s Highest Wage Earners

Latest data released Wednesday by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) has revealed that the suburb Toorak of Melbourne has Australia's highest wage earners. Residents in those area have a net take home pay of at least $132,252.
The Sydney suburb of Double Bay-Bellevue Hill followed next at $129,116.
The figures, gathered from the Australian Taxation Office, gave off enormous information such as personal income by wage and salary, investment, superannuation and annuities, Lisa Conolly, ABS director of the Rural and Regional National Statistics Centre, said.
"From a state and territory perspective, the Australian Capital Territory recorded the highest average total income of $58,034. This was followed by Western Australia on $53,397. New South Wales was ranked fourth", Ms Conolly said in a statement.
The inner city suburb of Ascot in Queensland gave off the largest average total income in the state at $90,945. It was followed by Hamilton at $90,900.
In South Australia, the top earning suburb was Adelaide suburb North Adelaide at $75,574, followed by Walkerville at $74,296.
The beach side suburb of Cottesloe in Perth ranked in the highest annual average income in Western Australia at $113,892. Nedlands-Dalkeith-Crawley came in on second at $106,981, City Beach on $102,971 and Mosman Park-Peppermint Grove on $99,609.
Sandy Bay, located south of Hobart in Tasmania, has the state's highest average total income at $59,002, followed by Mount Nelson-Dynnyrne at $54,660, then Taroona-Bonnet Hill at $51,476, South Hobart-Fern Tree at $51,129 and Hobart at $50,740.
In the Northern Territory, the three highest incomes were found at Anindilyakwa at $73,480, Nhulunbuy at $63,985 and East Arnhem at $63,955.
In the Australian Capital Territory, the top earning suburbs were Red Hill at $87,496, Forrest at $87,488, Griffith at $87 473, Deakin at $80,251 and Yarralumla at $80,238.
In Victoria, Brighton followed Toorak's record at $101,776. Third was East Melbourne at $95,349, Albert Park at $91,871 and Armadale at $89,534.
Mosman followed Double Bay-Bellevue Hill in NSW at $126,956, then Hunters Hill-Woolwich at $123,956 and Woollahra at $123,869.
