Like any other award functions, the 40^th American Music Awards 2012 (AMA) held on Sunday night was not just about giving away the awards but also about fashion with glamorous celebrities grabbing the attention of the onlookers with their style statements on the red carpet.

[GLAMOROUS CELEBRITIES AT AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS]  

Teen pop star Justin Bieber grabbed all the limelight at the 40^th American Music Awards, winning three awards including the top award - Artist of the Year - beating Drake, Maroon 5, Katy Perry and Rihanna. He also bagged Pop/Rock Favourite Male Artist award and Pop/Rock Favourite Album award for "Believe".

Rapper Nicki Minaj bagged two awards - Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favourite Rap/Hip-Hop Album.

The other winners at the AMA 2012 include Taylor Swift - country female artist, Rihanna - Soul/R&B album, Katy Perry - pop/rock female artist, Carly Rae Jepsen - new artist of the year, Maroon 5 - pop/rock band, duo or group and Adele - Adult contemporary artist.
