The new Note 10.1 is a 10-inch tablet that's also a phone and has a stylus

SAMMOBILE reported that the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet PC has begun receiving the new software but only in Germany for the time being. The update is expected to rollout to other parts of the region in the coming weeks before going global, and the update is using the build number of N8000XXBLJ9.

The new software weighs in at around 300MB and is being made available via an over the air update, and once available users should receive an automatic notification prompting them to download and install the software.

If no notification is received, you can always try and manually check for it yourself via the settings menu. However, it can take a while to reach all users, and it should bring with it some performance improvements and other new features.

Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note 2 already received Jelly Bean update and it is currently rolled out worldwide.

How to Install Jelly Bean OS in your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

  1. The latest Google software for phones and tablets, Jelly Bean, is now available for download as an over-the-air (OTA) update. The firmware "JRO03C.I9300XXDLJ4" is 284.36MB and, therefore, for a faster download it would be better to download it over Wi-Fi rather than over 3G.
  2. If a user has not received an automatic notification for a software update, then they can check manually. The procedure to check manually is as follows:
  3. Go to the 'Settings' menu and Scroll to the bottom, then tap 'About device'.
  4. Tap 'Software update'. (It is advisable to ensure that a user is connected to Wi-Fi for faster download speed and to save data.)
  5. Tap 'Update' and wait. If the update is available for the handset it will initiate and install automatically.
  6. If the device does not install anything, try again later.
