Oakland Raiders vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Where to Watch Online, Carson Palmer Looks for Three Straight Wins
November 5, 2012 3:45 AM EST
Winners of two-in-a-row for the first time this season, the Oakland Raiders face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Sunday afternoon at O.co Stadium.
The Raiders capitalized on the easiest stretch of their schedule with wins over the Jacksonville Jaguars and last week’s 26-19 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Darren McFadden rushed for 114 yards and quarterback Carson Palmer found Denarius Moore for five receptions and a touchdown, while the Oakland defense didn’t allow Kansas City to reach the end zone until late in the fourth quarter.
Palmer is on pace for a career-high in passing yards for a season, and should continue that trend against Tampa Bay’s 31 st ranked pass defense.
The Buccaneers have gone 2-1 since their Week 5 bye, including their best win of the season over the Minnesota Vikings 36-17 last week.
Running back Doug Martin gained 234 total yards from scrimmage, with two touchdowns, and Josh Freeman tossed three touchdowns and for 262 yards.
Freeman has now gone three straight games with passer rating above 100 and three passing touchdowns.
Martin was named NFC Offensive Rookie of the Month, but will have a harder time holding on to the honor with All-Pro guard Carl Nicks out for the year due to toe surgery.
This is the second blow to the Buccaneers offensive line this year, with Pro Bowl guard Davin Joseph suffering a season-ending injury in the preseason.
The game begins at 4:05 p.m. EDT and will be shown by FOX, or watch a live stream online by purchasing NFL Sunday Ticket Max.
Betting Odds: Oakland is favored by 1 point
Over/Under: 47 points
Prediction: Palmer should have a field day against the Tampa Bay secondary, but McFadden may struggle as the Buccaneers can stop the run. This could be a shootout early, and Freeman is on a hot streak. Tampa Bay should win by a touchdown.
Predicted Score: Tampa Bay 34, Tampa Bay 24
