Jamie Foxx may not have been Spider-Man supervillain Electro just for Halloween: The actor may also play the bad guy on the silver screen in the sequel to "The Amazing Spider-Man."
Foxx is in talks with the film’s creators about being cast in the role, ContactMusic.com reported.

And the actor tweeted Thursday: “Dressed up as Electro for Halloween last night. Costume fits well.”
Marc Webb, director of both "The Amazing Spider-Man" and "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," spoke very highly of Foxx Thursday at a press event for the Blu-ray and DVD release of the former film next week, Coming Soon reported.
"I think Jamie Foxx is electrifying!" Webb answered when questioned whether the actor would be cast in the sequel. "I think Jamie Foxx is one of the best actors around today. He's such a great character actor, and he's a really brilliant guy. I would love to work with him, and you'll be hearing more on that shortly, I'm sure."

Electro in the Marvel comics is an engineer named Maxwell “Max” Dillon who gains the ability to control electricity after being struck by lightning, according to Inside Movies.
The site noted that the Electro character is not traditionally African-American. Foxx being cast in the role would be the latest in a recent trend of black actors playing characters usually depicted as white.
Actor Idris Elba embodied the gatekeeper Heimdall in the 2011 film "Thor," amid much controversy, while Laurence Fishburne is booked to play Perry White in the forthcoming movie "Man of Steel."
"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is scheduled for release May 2, 2014.
Andrew Garfield will return as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone will reprise her role as Gwen Stacy, and Shailene Woodley was recently cast as Mary Jane Watson.
