The singer for the heavy metal band Suicide Silence was killed just hours after celebrating Halloween with friends, when he died from injuries that came from a motorcycle accident. Mitch Lucker, who was admitted around 9 p.m. to a Huntington Beach, Calif., hospital, was pronounced dead at approximately 6:00 a.m. Thursday, according to Metal Underground.
Fans offered their condolences on the band’s Facebook page and the sad news was a nationally trending Twitter topic for much of Thursday.
“There's no easy way to say this. Mitch passed away earlier this morning from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. This is completely devastating to all of us and we offer our deepest condolences to his family. He will be forever in our hearts,” the Facebook page said.

The band most recently released “The Black Crown” in 2011. The Toronto Sun reported Thursday that Lucker passed away only hours after tweeting a picture of himself in a skeleton Halloween costume with the caption “The dead are living…”
Metal Underground also reported that the band’s record label Nuclear Blast issued a statement Thursday.
“Nuclear Blast would like to offer our condolences to his family, friends, band members and fans worldwide who are affected by this loss. He left us doing what he loved. He was 28 years old and will be sorely missed.”
Lucker, who was 28, was the lead singer since the band’s inception in 2002 and is survived by young daughter Kenadee.
