Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 vs. Google Nexus 10: Which 10-inch Tablet Should You Buy?

After "Frankenstorm" Sandy spoiled the media event of search engine giant Google, it announced its latest line up of hardware that will hit the tech market in November.

One of the devices announced by the company is its latest 10-inch full size tablet - Nexus 10. According to the blog post, Nexus 10 will sport a 10.055 inches screen display with 2560x1600 pixel resolution. Moreover, it comes with a powerful battery that will get you up to nine hours of video playback and more than 500 hours of standby time.

One of the selling points of the device is that it will run with the upcoming Android v4.2 Key Lime Pie. Knowing Google, the successor of Jelly Bean will promise smooth and fun experience to the users. Google's tablet is expected to battle head on with other devices in the market such as Samsung's Galaxy Note 10.1.

After the successful release of its flagship phone Samsung Galaxy S3, Korea-based tech giant Samsung released another revolutionary tablet - Galaxy Note 10.1. The main features enable and facilitate creation. The media event focused on the S Pen, multiscreen function, and apps written specially for the new environment. The software adds true multitasking with multiple apps on-screen. There is also a pen that makes many apps more natural to use.

Screen Display - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has a 10.1 inch screen with a 1200x800 pixel resolution. The Google Nexus 10 offers 10.055 inches screen display with 2560x1600 pixel resolution.

Processor - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 has 1.4GHz Exynos quad core processor and 2GB of RAM. Google Nexus 10 is powered by the dual core Samsung Exynos 5 processor clocked at 1.7GHz.

Winner: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Operating System - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will run with Android's Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, which can soon be upgraded to Jelly Bean.  Google Nexus 10 will run with Android v4.2 Key Lime Pie.

Storage - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is available in 16GB and 32GB variants. Moreover, it has a microSD slot for expandable storage. Google Nexus 10, on the other hand, has 16GB and 32GB internal storage.

Winner: Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

Camera - Both devices will have 5MP and 1.9MP shooters at the back at front of the device, respectively.

Winner: Draw

Battery - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is powered by 7000mAh Li-on battery. Google Nexus 10 has 9000 mAh battery.

Winner: Google Nexus 10

Price - Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 16GB and 32GB variants cost $499 and $549, respectively. Google Nexus 10 starting price is $399.
