Serbian police have charged two unnamed England Under 21 players with 'acts of violence during a sports event', after a post-match brawl between the sides marred a recent World Cup qualifier.
As England youngster Connor Wickham scored a late winning goal to take the side to a 2-0 aggregate win over the hosts, fans threw missiles onto the pitch and reportedly shouted racist chants at black players including Danny Rose.
Rose was handed a second yellow card for the match and subsequently sent off for throwing the ball into the crowd, and an ugly brawl occurred between players and coaches as disagreements boiled over both on and off the pitch.
And now, Serbian police say they have filed charges against 12 people, with coaches included as well as players from both nations.
Five Serbia players were charged, and fans from the country were also charged for the missiles and flares thrown onto the pitch.
UEFA is still investigating the claims of racist abuse, as well as both nations for their actions in the brawl, and Serbia have moved quickly to chastise their own, banning players Nikola Ninkovic and Ognjen Mudrinski from international duty for a year.
Goalkeeping coach Srdjan Maksimovic and conditioning coach Andreja Milutinovic were also handed two-year bans.
