Human Dolls Valeria Lukyanova and Anastasiya Shpagina: Cute for Some, Damaging for Real Girls? [PHOTOS]
Through girls like Valeria Lukyanova and Anastasiya Shpagina, the human doll plastic surgery phenomenon has become popular.
Though it allows women to look like human dolls and be adored, it raises many moral questions. Is it scary and damaging for girls who have normal looks?
21-year-old Valeria Lukyanova is famous all over the world for looking like a breathing Barbie doll. Most girls grew up playing with the doll, that's why it is a normal fantasy of many who wish to have the same looks and figure as the Mattel toy.
Lukyanova has undergone many surgeries to make this dream come true. She dons a pair of big glassy eyes, a ridiculously tiny waist, big breasts, and platinum blonde hair to mimic the exact looks of Barbie. Valeria's YouTube and Facebook pages have thousands of likes, subscriptions, and followers; showing that people indeed find this amusing.
While some find this "cute" and adorable, this kind of exposed popularity can be damaging to the esteems of girls who have looks far from Valeria's. Plastic surgery has always been deemed "superficial" and a violation of the natural beauty; and this trend has raised the bar to a whole new extent.
Not only will girls want a slim waist, they would now want something that resembles Valeria's or their favorite dolls. Instead of wanting to correct the alignment of their eyes, some will opt for doll-like glassy gazers. They would also spend much time perfecting their doll looks and will have a brand new perspective of "beauty" because of these girls.
What do you think? Is there a room for any positive outcome from this plastic surgery phenomenon? Let us know in the comments section below.
