Samsung seems to be gearing up to launch a new update for Galaxy S3 very soon. Samsung Galaxy S3 is expected to get an update to the latest version, Android 4.1.2 around December, according to Admin Danny of SamMobile. The firmware is said to have a build number i9300XXE and will update your Galaxy S3 to Android 4.1.2 from the existing Android 4.1.1.
According to reports, the update will make the device more stable and will carry an extra feature called multi-view. This feature is already been used in the company's newest Galaxy Note 2.
The multi-view feature will reportedly allow users to perform multi-tasking. Since, the user will be able to divide the device's screen in two different pieces and then choose two apps that can be shown up at the same time. This will allow users to enjoy apps such as Twitter and Facebook simultaneously that could be a cool feature who would never want to miss.
"The multi-view feature would be a welcome addition for Galaxy S3 owners, given the abundance of screen real estate offered by the 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD device," claims Tech Radar UK.
In June, Samsung had released a statement claiming it would announce which "additional devices" would be getting the Jelly Bean update. The statement said:
"Samsung will soon announce which additional devices are eligible for the Jelly Bean update. As the world's largest smartphone manufacturer, Samsung leads the Android community with best-in-class devices like Galaxy S3, and is creating new device categories with products like the Galaxy Note. Samsung has delivered the most Nexus-branded lead OS devices and we are pleased that Google will be bringing Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S customers the first experiences of Jelly Bean on a handheld device."
