Prints, Patterns, and Color: Kate Middleton's Fashionable Wild Side [PHOTOS]
The Duchess of Cambridge has always been known for her gentle taste in her clothes, but recently, she has been appearing in dresses and ensembles that have bold prints and striking colors.
As usual, Kate Middleton has been appearing a lot in public functions and affairs and each time, she never fails to impress the crowd with the clothes she wears. Although she is known to keep her taste simple, elegant, and light, she has been injecting a wild touch to her choice of outfits.
One of her most daring looks to date is the satin wool dress by Prabal Gurung. The Duchess donned this printed choice during her recent visit in Singapore, where she paired her outfits with Orchids, the land's national flower. Its abstract design and purple-lavender-white color way made her look adventurous while maintaining her signature chic.
Another heavily-printed number is the Tav Pacific strapless dress Kate wore during a celebration in the Solomon Islands. The flower prints and summer hues of the dress matched the tropical vibe of the place. The Duchess made sure her accessories are as vibrant as she paired the dress with Serretta Red Sponge Coral & Rolled Gold Earrings.
Kate Middleton keeps up with the trends by mixing latest print fads with her usual simple look. The Hobbs Check Wessex dress (which only costs £35) she wore during the Olympic season has a striped, Aztec-kind-of print in gray contrasted by an off-white hue.
When the Duchess appeared Jonathan Saunders Evelyn Printed Cotton-Blend dress, fashion critics thought she channeled her inner Jackie O with its blue-green retro colors and print. Unlike her younger sister, Pippa, It's rare to see Kate in animal printed-dresses. When Kate wore the Joseph Leopard Print dress in one of the parties she attended in the past, critics thought it revealed a sexier, wilder side beneath the tame and gentle Duchess.
