Jonny Evans says that Manchester United have got their link-up play in front of goal working perfectly, with the defender looking at the positives after the side came back from 2-0 down to beat Braga in the Champions League.
Braga looked to be in for an upset in last night's tie, with the side scoring twice within 20 minutes to put the Red Devils into a two goal deficit early on in the match.
Javier Hernandez ended up saving United's blushes in the end, scoring twice alongside Evans to take the side to a win, and the defender by trade had nothing but praise for an expansive attacking line-up who have now gotten the club through the door to the final 16 of the Champions League.
"I think some of the link-up play was fantastic with Robin [van Persie], Wazza [Wayne Rooney], Chicharito, [Shinji] Kagawa and [Tom] Cleverley," he told the United website. "The forward play was excellent and I thought we were unlucky to go in 2-1 at half time actually.
"Obviously, we want to wrap up the group as soon as possible and give the manager a chance to maybe rest one or two players in the last couple of games as there's a hectic fixture schedule coming up for us - especially coming into December - so it'll be nice to get that sewn up."
With three wins from three matches, United are firmly entrenched in top spot of group H.
But the club are weary of yet another poor showing from a defensive point of view, and Evans believes that coming back from 2-0 down isn't something to celebrate.
"We lost the two goals early doors so we were glad to get the result in the end," he explained. "It's happened quite a lot and is becoming a bit of a habit.
"Hopefully, it's something we can eradicate as we don't want to give ourselves that kind of deficit at the start of games. We need to get a better start in the future."
