Not long after the birth of singer Adele and her fiancé Simon Konecki’s son was announced on Saturday, tolls took to the internet in order to ridicule the new born and his famous mother.

According to Daily Mail, many on Twitter took several jabs at the “Rolling in the Deep” songstress; ranging from suggesting that she would have more material for songs if the baby died or if she suffered from postpartum depression, to claiming to have not realized that Adele was pregnant due to her weight.

The birth announcement of Adele and her fiancé Simon Konecki’s son on Saturday sparked ridicule by trolls on Twitter.

One of the vilest comments came from Twitter user, Vanessa Bieber, who tweeted, “Aw Adele gave birth to a baby. Is it fat and handicapped lol? Just murder it already lol.”

Another user tweeted, “I’ll go see her in the UK and kill her.” To which someone else responded in a retweet, “And kill her baby.”

The Daily Mail notes that Adele is not the first celebrity to be subject to internet ridicule. Singer Gary Barlow was targeted by trolls online after announcing that his daughter was stillborn earlier this year.

Adele’s spokesperson says that there are no comments about the birth at this time; however, a source has said that the singer and her fiancé are, “ecstatic,” adding that she “she was over the moon that they were expecting their first child together.”

Having recently released the soundtrack for the latest James Bond movie “Skyfall,” Adele was expected to appear at the movie’s premier this Tuesday. A source told The Sun that she is currently too enthralled in her son to attend.

“Adele doesn't want to leave her little boy's side - it's as simple as that. Now he's here, she can't bear heading out without him, even to hobnob with royalty,” the source said.
